Just Enough
Just enough attention
To let her know she is there
Just enough communication
To make her feel needed
Just enough reassurances
To have her feel wanted
Just enough devotion
To keep her from moving on
Just enough persistence
To get her to his house
Just enough kisses
To lure her into bed
Just enough tenderness
To get her comfortable and relaxed
Just enough closeness
To have her unbuckle his belt
Just enough hope
To sustain her false dreams
Just enough affection
To mask what’s nothing more than lust
Just enough appreciation
To keep her his until he finds someone new
Just enough lies
Before he sends her away
This is an evil poem. It's about a self-indulgent individual who cares about his needs and his needs alone. It's about a man who is physically in a relationship but emotionally so far gone that he is doing nothing more than using the woman he is with. He is with her when it's convenient for him. But when it's not convenient for him, he finds a reason to get away. He's already on the prowl for someone new, but he doesn't want to rid himself completely of his current woman until he's sure he has found someone who can take her place. The cycle will then repeat itself.
