The Choice Is Up To You
Because in you’re life, the one you still lead, nothing is guaranteed
What you still have at the moment could be gone the next day
Take nothing for granted; live each day like it’s your last
You don’t know what could happen; so don’t regret your time
Well, you can try
Or you can die
It’s okay to cry
But remember what I say
When you’ve lost something
It’s gone
It’s not coming back no more
You need to find something
That’s new
A passion worth living for
Dawn will break, the sun will rise, seasons will continue too
Days will begin; life will go on, regardless of what you do
Ex-lovers will still kiss, lost friends will still bond, living is what they’ll do
A mindset to take, crumble or rise, the choice still up to you
Well, you can try
Or you can die
It’s okay to cry
But remember what I say
When you’ve lost something
It’s gone
It’s not coming back no more
You need to find something
That’s new
A passion worth living for
Though now you’re down, feeling so low, remember you’re still alive
Talents you can share, lives you can change, people who want your love
The longer you wait, wait and deny, the more you’ll suffer through
The sooner you grasp, grasp and accept, you find that pleasures can still be found
Well, you can try
Or you can die
It’s okay to cry
But remember what I say
When you’ve lost something
It’s gone
It’s not coming back no more
You need to find something
That’s new
A passion worth living for
A pretty simple poem here. When life's got you down, or you lost something of meaning, you've got the choice to wallow in your sadness, allow the misery to overwhelm you, or you can dig yourself out of your funk and find yourself a new and better you. It's your life and your decision, though. While you have your friends and families there to support you, ultimately, the choice comes down to you.
