What’s Done Is Done

You’re living in the past and fearing the future
While losing your present day
It’s time to move on, time to close that door
Today we’ll shut it all the way
The coping is most difficult; I realize
But you don’t need to do it alone
I’m here to listen and provide you with comfort
Lean on me for support

Because what’s done is done
It’s time to move on
Time will heal your wounds
You’re angry, and you’re vengeful
I completely understand
But I will stand beside you
Your days can stifle, often it hurts to breathe

It isn’t always easy to get out of bed
But a door has been closed, but a window has opened
With time these feelings will shred
And together, with me, these wounds will mend
We’ll take it one step at a time
I’ll shoulder your loss, your anger, your anguish
This is something you will get through

Because what’s done is done
It’s time to move on
Time will heal your wounds
You’re depressed and despondent
I can sympathize with your pain
But here I am standing with you

And I’ll stand beside you
Together, we will get through
Time will heal your wounds
And I’ll stand right next to you

I can see your smile now
I can feel your love again
I remember how you used to be
I’ll be standing right here
I’ll by your side forever
I’ll do whatever you need me to do

Because tomorrow’s a day worth living
Yeah, tomorrow’s a day worth living
Tomorrow’s a day worth living
The sun will continue to shine

Time has the potential to heal all wounds if you've got it in you to try. Of course, it's easier said than done sometimes, but it can be made easier with the support of others.
