Stand
Knocked. Battered. Beaten. Bruised.
Today must feel like hell.
Stand.
Today you can still rule your world.
Right now, you’ll sob at what’s done.
Right now, you’ll question your God.
Right now, all hope seems lost.
Right now, it is easier to kneel.
But stand.
But do not crumble.
Today you still rule your world.
Keep your faith on your side.
It is still your strongest weapon.
Weep…of course.
Curse…it is to be expected.
But succumb…you mustn’t.
Instead, stand.
Dry your eyes.
Speak forcefully.
Shout if necessary.
“You can’t beat me.”
Stand.
Overcome this hour.
This day is still yours.
Encouragement to both yourself and others during the darkest hours. Standing when it's easier to kneel.
